Pakistan fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi endured a difficult start to his Big Bash League (BBL) career as his debut outing for Brisbane Heat proved challenging.

Playing his first match in the tournament, Afridi bowled 2.4 overs and conceded 43 runs without taking a wicket. His spell was cut short in his third over after he delivered two beamers, prompting the umpires to stop him from continuing his bowling.

Afridi is representing Brisbane Heat in the ongoing BBL season, marking his first appearance in Australia’s premier T20 competition.

Meanwhile, Pakistan’s wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan also had a modest debut in the league. Turning out for Melbourne Renegades, Rizwan scored four runs off 10 deliveries and was unable to make a significant impact with the bat.

Both players are featuring in the BBL for the first time and will be looking to improve their performances in the upcoming matches as the tournament progresses.
