The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has finalised the schedule for the highly-anticipated ninth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), sources said on Saturday.

According to the sources, the tournament will feature a total of 34 thrilling matches and will be played from February 17 to March 17 across four cities: Karachi, Lahore, Rawalpindi, and Multan.

As per the unannounced schedule, the first phase matches are slated for Lahore and Multan, while the second part of the tournament will see intense clashes in Karachi and Rawalpindi.

Lahore Qalandars and Islamabad United will lock horns in the opening clash of the tournament at the Gaddafi Stadium.

Sources said there will be seven doubleheaders in the PSL 9, providing fans with a double dose of cricket excitement. Daytime action will see 6 league matches and one qualifier.

Rawalpindi will host three matches, and Lahore and Multan will witness two matches each during the daytime.

However, Karachi will be the primary battleground with 11 thrilling matches. Lahore and Rawalpindi will share nine matches, and Multan will host five matches.

The final match of the much-awaited twenty-over tournament will be played at the National Bank Cricket Arena in Sindh's capital.

The country's cricket board will announce the dates for the fixtures soon.
