A controversy erupted during the England vs India Test match at Old Trafford when security personnel allegedly asked a spectator to cover his Pakistan cricket jersey.

A Pakistani fan engaged in a debate with stadium security after he was reportedly told to either cover his shirt or leave the venue. The fan recorded the entire incident on his phone.

“They are taking me out for no reason, even though I haven’t harmed anyone,” the fan said in the video.

He can be heard asking the security officials whether any formal rule prohibits wearing a Pakistan jersey during the match. The security staff did not provide a written policy in response and instead asked him to step outside to discuss the matter.

The man further questioned whether there had been any complaints from Indian spectators, but security personnel offered no explanation and repeatedly insisted that he either leave or cover the jersey.

The fan refused to comply and stood his ground. However, the video ends without showing what happened next.

The incident drew widespread criticism on social media, with many accusing Lancashire Cricket Club of displaying bias. Users pointed out that fans regularly wear different team jerseys at international matches, and this has never been considered an issue.
