Woman killed, husband injured in Karachi shooting after love marriage

A love marriage has turned deadly, with a woman killed and her husband seriously injured in a shooting incident in Karachi.

According to details, the incident took place in the Lassi Goth area of Karachi, where a woman was killed and a man wounded after gunfire. Police said the victims had contracted a court marriage.

Police stated that the shooting occurred inside a house within the jurisdiction of Sohrab Goth police station.

The injured man, identified as Nasrullah, is in critical condition after being shot in the head. The deceased woman has been identified as Latifa Magsi.

Reports said the couple had recently married by choice and were living in a rented house in the Lassi Goth area when unidentified armed men entered the house and opened indiscriminate fire.

The woman died at the scene.

Upon receiving information, police and rescue teams rushed to the spot. The injured man and the woman’s body were shifted to hospital.

Authorities said further investigations were under way and that those responsible would be arrested soon.
