Sindh police claimed to have foiled a major terrorist bid and arrested two ‘agents’ of the Indian spy agency Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) from Karachi’s Korangi.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Hasan Sardar said the arrests were made in a combined operation of police and intelligence agencies.

The law enforcers also recovered two hand grenades, a 9mm pistol, and ammunition from the terrorists.

SSP added that terrorists identified as Khawar Hussain and Jabar were found involved in the recce of a target given by foreign elements.

Police said they used to collect and send images and information of the target in return for millions of dollars.

An official said that the suspected RAW agents were allegedly receiving instructions from India and carrying out terror attacks in Karachi.

According to the police, the suspects made important revelations during the police investigation.

However, they were handed over to the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) for further investigation.

India's link in intelligence and terrorist activities in Pakistan is not something unknown.

Earlier, Pakistan’s Foreign Secretary Syrus Qazi had exposed a “sophisticated and sinister” Indian campaign of extra-territorial and extra-judicial killings.

In January, he said Pakistan has credible evidence for Indian agents’ link to the killings of two Pakistani citizens on its soil.
