TikTok video turns tragic as woman accidentally shot dead by husband in Karachi

KARACHI: A 22-year-old woman, identified as Farzana Jan, lost her life after being shot in the head while filming a TikTok video with her husband in Phelwan Goth, Gulistan-e-Jauhar, police said on Saturday.

According to officials, Farzana had asked her husband, Ghulam Mustafa, to record a video showing him pointing a gun at her head. However, Mustafa allegedly pulled the trigger, unaware that the pistol was loaded.

Farzana sustained critical head injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital but succumbed to her wounds on the way.

Police said the couple had been married only one month ago.

Law enforcement officials later arrested the husband and recovered an illegal pistol used in the incident.
