Reckless driving claims life in Karachi as truck crushes motorcyclist, rickshaw in Karachi

A heart-wrenching video has emerged from Karachi’s Korangi Road showing a speeding truck crushing a motorcyclist and ramming into a rickshaw, leaving one dead and another injured.

According to details, the road accident occurred near Defence Morr on Korangi Road, claiming the life of a motorcyclist, and injuring a woman.

The accident occurred near the NADRA Mega Centre and was captured on CCTV. The footage shows the truck driver recklessly speeding along the busy road before losing control, running over a motorcyclist, and colliding with a rickshaw.

Eyewitnesses reported that despite heavy traffic, the truck’s speed remained dangerously high.

The motorcyclist, identified as a security guard, died on the spot, while a woman traveling in the rickshaw was injured.

Earlier in Jul, four people, including a woman and two young girls, lost their lives in a devastating car accident on Karachi’s Hawksbay Road, reportedly caused by overspeeding.

According to police and rescue officials, the vehicle was returning from a trip to the seaside when the driver apparently lost control while taking a turn.

The car veered off course and slammed into the wall of a nearby drain, leaving people inside the car with critical injuries.
