In Rawalpindi, a woman was shot dead while her husband watched the crime scene live on video call from abroad. According to the police, the husband had given consent for the killing of his wife.
This incident took place in the area of Lalazar, Rawalpindi, where Samira Aziz was shot by her close relatives. The victim had returned to Pakistan from Qatar about a week before she got killed.
Police said that Samira’s husband, Suleman, was in Qatar at that time and witnessed the killing through a video call, raising serious questions about him playing a part in planning and instigating the murder of his wife.
Samira’s sister has filed an FIR on the incident under Sections 302, 311, 109, and 34 of the Pakistan Penal Code.
Police are investigating all aspects of the case, including the husband’s role in the murder. Currently, raids are under way to arrest the suspects.
