Shop owner beats up child labourer in Lahore

Punjab police on Friday arrested two men, identified as Farooq and Adnan, for thrashing a child labourer by tying him with a chain in Lahore.

The action came after the video of the distressing incident went viral on social media.

In the viral video, a man can be seen brutally assaulting the 11-year-old, whose foot was chained, while another man clasped the hands of the victim.

Several other child labourers were also seen witnessing the brutal attack in the footage.

The viral video prompted Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ikhlaqullah Tarar to take action against the culprits.

As per the details, the victim was employed at a steel workshop in the Sabzazar area of Lahore.

However, the police have arrested the culprits and started an investigation into the matter.
