PM vows to pass on economic relief to people

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said on Wednesday that all the advantages of economic policies of the government would start benefiting citizens when peace and stability return fully in the area.

Addressing a group of female parliamentarians belonging to PML-N, the prime minister underscored the significance of sustainable peace for economic growth, investments, and prosperity of people.

Prime Minister Shehbaz highly praised the involvement of women parliamentarians in the present budget session and added that his government has made all-out efforts to give maximum comfort to its citizens under the Budget 2026-27. It is pertinent to mention here that several steps have been taken by the government in favor of women to make their contribution to the development of the country.

He assured the participants that empowering women continues to be one of the priorities of the present government. According to him, it will contribute greatly towards the economic and social development of Pakistan.

On the recent developments in the region, the prime minister said that peace has started and peace efforts have produced good results.

He added that regional and global peace was essential for achieving economic growth targets. The prime minister also highlighted the government's efforts to protect citizens from the impact of global inflation, noting that Pakistan avoided major shortages and fuel crises experienced by some countries in the region.
