A married woman was sold by her in-laws in a village in Punjab's Okara.

According to the details, a shocking incident has taken place in the limits of Okara Police Station Sadar 22 JD, a 20-year-old girl was sold by her brother-in-law and father-in-law for Rs 50,000.

Okara police say that the girl named Sidra was sold to a group of brothels in Kachakhoh area of Khanewal, the girl was raped for a month, she fled the spot and reached home.

The victim's husband Ikram has applied to the DPO for a case, the police station Tayyab Saeed Shaheed has also arrested one of the accused, the police say that the victim is married and the mother of 2 children.

The parents of the accused have also confessed to the police that their sons Asif and Akram sold their daughter-in-law.

In a video statement, the mother said that her sons had done a very wrong and dirty job, for which they should be punished. Even if it's a death sentence.

The father also said that his accused sons should be punished.

Meanwhile, a case has been registered against Ibrahim Khan, Fahad Rashid and Jawad Ayaz in Rawalpindi's Wah Cantt police station.
