Six people, including a woman, were killed in two separate incidents linked to honour killing and an old enmity in Sindh’s Larkana, police said on Monday.

According to the police, in one incident, a man allegedly shot dead his daughter and son-in-law in the name of so-called honour before surrendering himself at a police station.

The police said that the couple had contracted a love marriage, which the girl’s father reportedly opposed.

In another incident reported in Sindh Green Colony, armed assailants barged into a house and opened fire, killing four people and injuring two others, including a young girl. The attackers managed to flee the scene after the shooting.

The police reached the site soon after receiving information about the incident and shifted the bodies and injured to a hospital while collecting evidence from the crime scene.

According to police officials, the firing incident appears to be the result of an old enmity, and efforts are underway to arrest the attackers.
