FAISALABAD: A resident of Sargodha Road in Faisalabad city took his own life after murdering his two wives and four children over business loss, the local police said.

The grim incident unfolded in Gulshan-e-Madina Phase-II within the jurisdiction of Nishanabad Police Station, local media news reports said.

Law enforcement authorities cordoned the area and initiated investigations. The perpetrator, identified as 50-year-old Kazim Jawad, was reportedly overwhelmed by business-related challenges.

Jawad’s family members, including his wives Umbreen and Faiza, along with their daughters Yamna, Urooj, Roma, and son Moosa, fell victim to the tragic outburst. The assailant’s body was discovered at the scene.

Initial reports indicate that Jawad, who resided on the first floor of a shared residence, orchestrated the violent episode, inviting his second wife over before carrying out the heinous act. Their neighbour Zeeshan shed light on the financial burdens plaguing Jawad in recent weeks, hinting at underlying pressures contributing to the shocking turn of events.

Authorities, including Faisalabad DSP Rana Umar Daraz, assured that a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident will be carried out.
