A Karachi court has rejected the bail application of two suspects accused of facilitating the activities of drug dealer Anmol alias Pinky.

In its ruling, the court observed that, according to the investigation, the applicants were key facilitators of the main accused.

According to the prosecution, suspects Sohail Rehman and Zeeshan Rehman allegedly assisted Anmol Pinky in laundering illicit funds. Investigators claimed that after Anmol's bank accounts were frozen, financial transactions were carried out through another suspect, identified as Sameer.

The prosecution further alleged that properties were purchased through the accounts of Sohail, Sameer and Zeeshan Rehman, while payments for raw materials used in narcotics production were also routed through their accounts.

The court was also informed that Pinky's younger brother, Nasir, had been employed by Sameer in 2016.

Defence counsel argued that Sohail Rehman and Zeeshan Rehman had no connection with Sameer and maintained that the allegations being cited by police were not new.

After hearing arguments from both sides, the court dismissed the bail applications and allowed the investigation to proceed.
