Man allegedly assaulted by lawyers in Karachi's DHA following traffic collision

A traffic accident in Karachi’s Defence area on Tuesday escalated into violence when lawyers allegedly assaulted a citizen following a collision between vehicles, according to sources.

Witnesses reported that after the citizen’s car collided with a lawyer’s vehicle, one of the lawyers broke the window of the citizen’s car. The citizen called the police helpline (15), but lawyers reportedly arrived at the scene before police response and allegedly attacked him in their presence.

The citizen later approached the police station to lodge a complaint. However, lawyers allegedly assaulted him again inside the station, sources claimed. Individuals who had come to mediate on behalf of the citizen also reported being attacked by the lawyers.

Meanwhile, the lawyers have sought to register a First Information Report (FIR) against the citizen, sources added.
