Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sohail Khan Afridi, has said that if they march towards D-Chowk this time, they will return either with freedom or in coffins.
Addressing a public gathering in Kohat, Afridi said that attempts are being made to suppress the party’s founding chairman.
He alleged that party leaders are not even allowed to meet judges, adding that those entrusted with protecting their electoral mandate have instead “robbed it.”
“Our protectors have turned into our killers,” he said.
The KP chief minister further alleged that certain individuals appear on television at night and issue threats of violence.
He said that Imran Khan has entrusted Mahmood Khan Achakzai and Allama Raja Nasir Abbas with the responsibility of either protests or negotiations, and instructed party workers to remain prepared whenever a call is given.
Afridi stated that they would collectively seize “true freedom,” accusing the federal government of committing corruption worth Rs5.3 trillion.
He claimed that Pakistan’s total debt has reached Rs80 trillion, adding that those lecturing others on governance have plunged the country into massive debt.
Criticising the Chief Minister of Punjab, Afridi alleged that a “mandate thief” who “cannot distinguish between ‘K’ and ‘Q’” was offering him advice. He further claimed that Punjab Police has been turned into the most corrupt institution in the country.
He concluded by saying that investment is increasing in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while Punjab is witnessing a decline in investment, yet criticism continues to be directed at his government.
