The heavy downpour caused urban flooding and left at least 10 people dead on Tuesday. A day later, much of the city continues to struggle with stagnant water disrupting traffic on major roads and prolonged power outages reported in multiple neighbourhoods.
Electricity has yet to be restored in several areas, including Gulistan-e-Jauhar Blocks 7, 13 and 18, Mehmoodabad, Akhtar Colony, Manzoor Colony, Defence View, and Malir Alamgir Society as more than 16 hours has passed after the rains subsided.

K-Electric, the city’s sole power supplier, said its teams were working across the city and insisted that feeders had been switched off only where safety concerns required it.
