An application reportedly submitted to the Federal Investigation Agency has sought an FIR against senior journalist Sohail Warraich over "false and concocted" column about a meeting with Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Asim Munir.
As per the application shared on social media, applicant Mushkoor Hussain claimed that Sohail Warraich wrote on multiple social media platforms and in daily Jang column that Field Marshal Asim Munir, when asked about politics, remarked that "political reconciliation is possible only if there is a sincere apology".
"The DG ISPR dismissed the account, calling it misleading," read the application. "He stressed that 'neither did the army chief make any political statement in Brussels, nor did he mention any apology,' adding that some individuals had distorted facts for personal publicity."

Credible Sources confirmed: The Institution is NOT involved in the launch of FIR against Suhail Waraich sb ! Seems some PTI fellow registered it to malign the institution as well as to settle the score with Suhail sb due to his journalistic Critique on MR Khan ! pic.twitter.com/8t69sW28k6
