A recent controversy has emerged in the killing of nine-year-old Australian national Hania Ahmed.

Hania’s father alleged that the fatal shot was fired directly by a Punjab CCD officer rather than by armed robbers, contradicting the police's initial account.

Hania was killed on June 10 during an attempted robbery in Chakwal. Her father, Adeel Ahmed, and 11-year-old brother Affan were seriously injured, while her mother, Dr Sidra Khan, escaped unharmed.

The incident drew widespread attention in Pakistan and Australia after Punjab Police acknowledged that the shooting resulted from "criminal negligence" by a CCD official.

In an application submitted to Chakwal DPO Kashif Zulfiqar, Adeel claimed that City Police Sub-Inspector Ahsan Abdullah falsely stated in the FIR that robbers had opened fire.

He also claimed police pressured him to sign a blank paper while he was critically injured in hospital before receiving medical treatment.

Adeel further alleged that investigators later informed him the fatal shot had come from a CCD constable and accused police of altering the FIR by applying Section 322 of the PPC instead of Section 302.

He has requested legal action against the officers involved.

DPO Zulfiqar has ordered inquiry to be completed within three days.

The Police, however, have rejected the father's allegations, insisting the FIR was registered according to standard procedures.
