Man arrested for harassing woman in Karachi’s Alfalah Society

KARACHI: Police have arrested a man accused of harassing a woman in Alfalah Society, Block C, after the incident was reported in the media.

According to police, the suspect, identified as Uzair, son of Hussain, harassed a woman while she was walking through a street in the area.

The incident came to the attention of SSP Korangi Fida Hussain Janwari, who took notice of the report. Following the directive, Alfalah police launched an investigation and arrested the suspect.

Police said the incident took place on the morning of August 18, when the woman was passing through a street in Alfalah Society. CCTV footage of the incident subsequently emerged, showing the suspect allegedly harassing the woman.

SSP Korangi said a case has been registered against the arrested suspect and that further legal proceedings are underway.

Police officials said the investigation is continuing to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident and ensure that legal action is taken against the accused in accordance with the law.
