7 die as tourist vehicle plunges into ravine in Gilgit-Baltistan's Diamer

At least seven people lost their lives after their vehicle met a tragic accident en route to Fairy Meadows in Gilgit-Baltistan's Diamer district.

According to details, the accident occurred on the Raikot Road in the Diamer district of Gilgit-Baltistan, where a vehicle carrying tourists fell into the Tattu Nala ravine.

Rescue officials said that the deceased include the driver and six tourists who were travelling to the popular tourist destination. Two of the victims were from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, identified as Ali and Sajjad, while four others were residents of Punjab.

Rescue operation is underway to retrieve the bodies from the difficult terrain, authorities added.
