41% Pakistanis believe the country is more 'unsafe now than ever'

Four out of 10 Pakistanis cited 'increased unrest' as a contributing factor to this unsettling perception.

A recently conducted survey by Gallup Pakistan revealed that almost 41 Pakistanis believe that the country is more unsafe now than it was ten years ago.

Four out of 10 Pakistanis cited 'increased unrest' as a contributing factor to this unsettling perception.

The poll, conducted between January 3 and 18, involved over a thousand participants. 

According to the survey results, 39 percent strongly disagreed with the notion of increased insecurity, saying that "they felt safer in the country compared to previous years". 

While 15pc were of the opinion that there was no change in the situation and 5pc avoided answering the question.

51 percent of respondents also expressed the belief that the world, as a whole, has become more unsafe than before.

Only 26 percent participants believed that the world was completely safe for future generations.

Eleven percent said there was no difference, while 12pc did not answer the question.
