Islamabad police reportedly spent over Rs. 330 million in their efforts to manage the recent three-day protest by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), according to sources.

To maintain control over the capital, authorities deployed more than 800 containers to block 24 key locations, at a cost of Rs. 72.8 million.

The containers have remained in place for a week, continuing to drive up costs.

During the protest, police used 35,000 tear gas shells, which alone accounted for Rs. 150 million in expenditures.

Additionally, the purchase of rubber bullets and 2,500 firearms added another Rs. 110 million to the total cost.
