Mir Raza commission receives AIG Azad Khan, DIG Amir Farooqi's replies

Senior police officers have submitted their response to questions sent to them by the Mir Raza judicial commission.

Additional Inspector General Karachi Azad Khan, DIG Crime and Investigation Amir Farooqi, and DIG East Farrukh Lanjhar submitted their replies to the commission.

Advocate Tajammul Lodhi submitted the responses in sealed envelopes to the commission.

Mir Raza’s family had submitted questions for the police officers, with more than 300 questions sent to the commission. The commission observed that providing the family with some information by the investigating agencies would not compromise the case.

Meanwhile, Mir Raza family's lawyer Jibran Nasir raised concerns over the alleged leak of information related to the investigation.

He said the family had been informed by police on September 9 that data related to digital currency had been obtained, while screenshots of Mir Raza’s crypto account were being circulated in the media the same day.

Jibran Nasir questioned whether police authorities had been able to identify the person responsible for leaking Mir Raza’s data from within the investigation team.

The commission adjourned further proceedings in the case until October 7.
