Punjab continues to face a worsening flood situation, with several villages still submerged and residents enduring severe hardships.

In Bahawalpur’s Khairpur Tamewali tehsil, floodwaters inundated connecting roads in the Bonga Ramzan area.

The disruption was so severe that a funeral had to be transported by boat to the graveyard, with rescue officials assisting the grieving family members.

Meanwhile, in Hafizabad, the district administration has been making announcements urging residents to evacuate flood-hit areas.

More than 35 villages have been submerged by floodwaters near Qadirabad Headworks.

In Jhang’s Khorran Baqar area, stranded residents have resorted to using tire tubes as makeshift rafts for movement.

It is worth noting that the flooding across various Punjab districts has been worsened by what authorities described as “Indian water aggression.”

In Bahawalpur, a protective embankment near Fatowali collapsed due to the intensified flow of water in the Sutlej River, submerging hundreds of acres of standing crops.

Additionally, water levels in the Sutlej River at Kasur continue to rise. In Kabirwala, the Abdul Hakim railway crossing bridge was submerged, while in Shorkot, the Khaniwal railway track was shut down due to floodwaters, disrupting train services.
