Renowned Pakistani actress Meera has challenged the younger generation of actors, saying Gen Z performers cannot compete with the stars of her era.
Speaking during a recent appearance on the Geo Podcast, the actress discussed her professional journey, memorable films and upcoming projects in detail.
When asked about her favourite co-stars, Meera fondly recalled working with actor Babar Ali in the film Khoye Ho Tum Kahan, describing the experience as full of fun and unforgettable memories.
She also reflected on her film Inteha, mentioning prominent names including Samina Peerzada, Usman Peerzada, Zeeshan Sikandar and Humayun Saeed.
Meera revealed that Inteha marked her first film alongside Humayun Saeed, adding that the project remains one of the memorable milestones of her career.
During the conversation, the actress openly challenged the younger generation of performers, stating that Gen Z actors should watch films such as Psycho and attempt to produce work of a higher standard.
“Gen Z cannot compete with me,” she remarked, while encouraging emerging actors to challenge established stars through quality performances and films.
Meera further added that young artists should compete with senior actors such as herself and Shaan, saying she would welcome the competition and enjoy seeing new talent raise industry standards.
