The government has increased the prices of petrol and high-speed diesel (HSD) by Rs26.77, according to an official announcement issued on Friday.
With the latest revision, petrol is now priced at Rs393.35 per litre, while HSD has risen to Rs380.19.
The change was announced in a statement released by the Petroleum Division, which said the new rates would take effect for the week starting April 25.
Fuel prices are being reviewed on a weekly basis every Friday night, a policy adopted in the wake of global market volatility following the conflict involving the United States and Israel against Iran that began on February 28.
The situation had disrupted global energy supplies, particularly due to the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, a key route through which around one-fifth of the world’s oil and gas supply passes during normal conditions.
