The deteriorating condition of roads in Karachi has forced the Peoples Bus Service to reduce its routes, with the R-3 bus service operating between Power House Chowrangi and Nasser Jump having its route shortened by approximately three kilometres due to damaged roads.

The poor condition of roads across Karachi has created serious travel difficulties for commuters, and its impact is now being felt by the Peoples Bus Service.

The R-3 route, which previously operated between Power House Chowrangi and Nasser Jump, has been shortened by approximately three kilometres.

According to the administration, buses will now turn back from Shan Chowrangi instead of continuing towards Nasser Jump.

The administration stated that operating buses on deteriorated roads has caused considerable damage to the vehicles.

It added that these buses are not designed to operate on such poorly maintained roads. The authorities concerned have been urged several times to improve road conditions.

The Peoples Bus Service administration has warned that if the condition of roads is not improved, further bus routes may also have to be curtailed.
