Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman al-Thani condemned the “blatant attack” by Israel, calling it nothing short of “state terrorism.”

Speaking at a press conference in Doha, Al Thani declared, “We believe that today we have reached a decisive moment. There should be retaliation from the whole region to such barbaric actions.” He vowed to deal firmly with any threat to the country’s security.

He emphasised that Qatar reserves the right to respond and will take all necessary measures to counter the attack.

The Qatari premier revealed that the United States notified Doha about the strike only ten minutes after it occurred, adding that Israel had used weapons designed to evade radar detection.

Accusing Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of dragging the Gulf region to a dangerous phase Al Thani said, “Israel is working to sabotage every chance for peace.”

He further pointed out that the attack came while peace talks, initiated at Washington’s request, were underway, holding Israel responsible if those efforts collapse.

"Does the world need a clearer message than this? Who is closing the door to peace? Does the international community still need additional proof? Who is the real bully in this region?" he asked.

The Qatari Prime Minister stressed that Doha has consistently worked to end the war in Gaza, but warned that the latest developments leave little hope for a serious peace agreement.

“Israel is working to sabotage every chance for peace,” he said. “Qatar will continue its mediation efforts to achieve peace in Gaza, despite this treacherous attack. Nothing will deter us from continuing this mediation in the region.”
