Iran has put forward a new peace proposal to the United States through Pakistan, according to reports, outlining a three-stage plan aimed at easing tensions in the Middle East.

Arab media say the proposal envisions turning a ceasefire into a comprehensive peace agreement within 30 days.

Sources indicate the plan is designed to reduce regional instability and establish long-term security arrangements. It includes a proposed non-aggression pact, with the possible inclusion of Israel, to prevent further conflict in the region.

In the first phase, Iran has suggested the gradual reopening of the Strait of Hormuz and the lifting of US restrictions on its ports. Tehran has also offered to clear sea mines as part of confidence-building measures.

The second phase would permit Iran to resume uranium enrichment up to 3.6% under what is described as a “zero storage” framework. It also proposes mutual assurances from the United States and Israel not to carry out attacks on Iran or its allies, alongside a reciprocal commitment from Tehran.

The plan rejects calls for dismantling Iran’s nuclear infrastructure, instead proposing a phased easing of sanctions, including the release of frozen assets.

In the final phase, Iran has suggested initiating strategic dialogue with Arab countries and establishing a joint regional security framework encompassing the wider Middle East.
