Indian cricketer Yash Dayal has been nominated in a second case over alleged repeated sexual assault on a minor girl from Jaipur in 2023.
This second FIR comes weeks after a rape complaint filed against him in UP's Ghaziabad by a woman who accused him of "exploiting" her, according to Indian media reports.
Sanganer Sadar SHO Anil Kumar Jaiman confirmed that the FIR was lodged against the cricketer, associated with IPL's Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) franchise, under Section 64 of the new penal code, which carries a minimum jail term of 10 years, and relevant sections of the Posco Act.
The complaint alleges that Dayal assaulted the then 17-year-old survivor first in 2023 and again in a Jaipur hotel this April.
"It is alleged that around two years ago, when the complainant was a minor, he raped her on multiple occasions after offering to help build her cricket career," Times of India reported, quoting the police officer.

"This year, he contacted her again when he was in Jaipur on IPL duty, called her to his hotel and allegedly raped her there."
Another police official said that the case was lodged immediately after the survivor chose to report the multiple instances of alleged sexual assault since 2023.
Allahabad High Court has restrained police from arresting Dayal in the Ghaziabad case on July 15, saying no coercive action should be taken against him till the next hearing.
