The International Cricket Council (ICC) has imposed a two-match suspension on Pakistan fast bowler Haris Rauf for breaching the ICC Code of Conduct during the Asia Cup 2025.
According to an ICC statement, Rauf was handed the suspension after accumulating four demerit points within a two-year period. The pacer was also fined 30 percent of his match fee for his latest infraction. As a result, Rauf will miss Pakistan’s next two matches, including the upcoming fixture against South Africa scheduled for November 6.
In a separate disciplinary action, Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav was fined 30 percent of his match fee for violating Article 2.21 of the ICC Code of Conduct, which pertains to actions contrary to the spirit of the game. Yadav also received two demerit points but escaped suspension.
The ICC said both players accepted the sanctions proposed by the match referees, meaning no formal hearing was required.
