The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has revised the schedule for the Asia Cup 2025, moving almost all matches to a 7:30 PM Pakistan Standard Time (PST) start.
The only exception is the Group A match between the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Oman on September 15, which will begin at 5:00 PM PST.
The tournament will open on September 9 in Abu Dhabi with Afghanistan facing Hong Kong China. India will play their first match against hosts UAE on September 10 in Dubai.
The much-anticipated Group A clash between India and Pakistan is set for September 14 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. If both teams progress, they could face each other again in the Super 4 stage and potentially in the final.
Eight teams will compete in this edition, divided into two groups. Group A includes India, Pakistan, UAE and Oman, while Group B consists of Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Hong Kong China. The top two sides from each group will qualify for the Super 4s, leading to the final scheduled for September 28 in Dubai at 7:30 PM PST.
Out of the 19 matches, 11 – including the final – will be played in Dubai, while the remaining eight will be staged in Abu Dhabi. The Asia Cup 2025 is being contested in the Twenty20 format as preparation for the ICC T20 World Cup next year.
