Woman gives birth in Rescue 1122 Ambulance en route to hospital in Shikarpur

SHIKARPUR: A woman gave birth to a healthy baby inside a Rescue 1122 ambulance while being transported from Shikarpur to Sukkur for further medical care.

According to reports, the woman—wife of Ghulam Murtaza—was initially admitted to the Civil Hospital Shikarpur for delivery. However, she was later referred to a hospital in Sukkur due to medical reasons.

The Rescue 1122 team promptly initiated the transfer, but the woman went into labour during the journey.

Demonstrating swift and skilled response, the Rescue 1122 staff assisted in the safe delivery of the baby inside the moving ambulance.

Rescue sources confirmed that the mother and newborn are both in stable condition.

Following the delivery, they were brought back to Civil Hospital Shikarpur for postnatal care.

The woman’s husband expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Rescue 1122 team for their timely and life-saving assistance during a critical moment.
