A woman had claimed that she had three younger sisters, two of whom were injured in the Gul Plaza tragedy, while one had returned from higher studies in Australia and the other from Spain. She stated that both injured sisters had not yet been found.
However, it later came to light that the woman actually resides in Gul Bahar Basti, not in Hyderabad, and does not have three sisters.
In reality, she has eight sisters and four brothers. One of her brothers works in the police, while the other siblings, married and unmarried, all live in Pakistan.
It appears that her main motive in claiming that two of her sisters were injured in the Gul Plaza incident was to obtain financial aid.
The government had announced a compensation of 1 crore for the families affected by the tragedy. She sought to take advantage of the lack of proper verification and used the media to further her claim.
