Body of man who jumped into sea after throwing his children recovered

The body of Auranzeb Alam, who threw his children into the sea before committing suicide by jumping into the sea near Do Darya, was recovered after two days of extensive operation, rescue confirmed. 

The rescue officials said the rescue operation was stopped at night due to the darkness. In the resumption, Edhi’s lifeguards found Auranzeb’s body near China Port. 

The lifeless body was transported to the hospital for the legal procedure. 

Aurangzeb’s remains was found after two days of rescue operations, as the incident was reported on Thursay, in which a father had allegedly thrown his two minor children into the sea on and jumped himself as well in attempt to end all of three lives, as he had separated with wife on the domestic feud and, reportedly preventing children from being taken into their mother’s custody.

Aforementioned problems allegedly pushed him to take the extreme step of attempting suicide along with his children. The deceased children, Ahmed, 8, and Ayat, 4, ended up in the deep sea.

After the incident, rescue teams were informed, but the bodies could not be found due to poor visibility at night. The operation resumed in the morning, resulting in the discovery of the children’s bodies near Sea View.

Aurangzeb’s brother, Saghir Alam, had told the media that the deceased was a resident of Orangi Town, Sector C-14, and that Aurangzeb was a teacher by profession. He had separated from his wife due to domestic issues and had filed a petition for custody of the children.

The day before the incident, the court had awarded custody of the children to the deceased’s wife.
