Security supervisor after desecration of Allama Iqbal statue in Lahore Park

The Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) has taken strict action and suspended the security supervisor over the desecration of the statue of Allama Muhammad Iqbal, the poet of the East, in Gulshan Iqbal Park, Lahore.

A sad incident of desecration of Allama Iqbal's statue by children took place in Gulshan Iqbal Park a few days ago.

Parents and other people present in the park at the time of the incident were busy making videos instead of stopping the children, while some people made videos of the incident and uploaded them on social media.

Taking notice of the desecration incident, Managing Director PHA Raja Mansoor Ahmed immediately suspended the security Supervisor of Gulshan Iqbal Park Imtiaz Hussain for neglecting his duties.

Notification has been issued.

The notification stated that the security supervisor was responsible for ensuring order in the park and preventing such incidents, but he is being suspended with immediate effect if he is found negligent.

PHA officials said the incident is being investigated further so that effective measures can be taken to prevent such incidents in the future.
