FCC suspends subsidy payment to petroleum firm
It emerged that the SHC had earlier asked the government to pay subsidies worth billions of rupees to a private company within a week.

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Constitutional Court has put on hold a ruling by the Sindh High Court about subsidies given to private firms amid the petroleum crisis, accepting an appeal filed by the federal government.
The case was heard yesterday by a two-member bench headed by Chief Justice Aminuddin Khan along with Justice Ali Baqar Najafi.
It is learnt that while hearing the case, notices were served to the concerned parties and all records of both cases were sought from the SHC.
