Karachi: An incident involving the tearing of a passenger’s passport at Jinnah International Airport has come to light, prompting an official investigation.
According to details, progress has been made in the inquiry into the incident in which staff of a private airline tore a passenger’s passport at Karachi airport.
The investigation has determined that the airline staff were at fault.
The Pakistan Airports Authority conducted an inquiry into the incident, which occurred at Jinnah International Airport at the time of the passenger’s departure abroad.
Sources said that the investigation concluded that the airline staff present at the check-in counter were responsible for the incident.
It is to be noted that a video of passenger named Qudratullah went viral on social media in which he was seen protesting against tearing of his passport at ticket counter due to which he missed his Jeddah flight.
