The Islamabad High Court has issued notices to the Director General of Immigration and requested a response regarding a petition filed against the offloading of three passengers, including a married couple, who were reportedly prevented from travelling to perform Umrah.
The case was heard by Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir on a petition submitted by Asad Aslam, Imran, and Ishrat Imran.
Through their lawyer, Advocate Tariq Muhammad Khan Marwat, the petitioners challenged the decision to stop them from boarding their flight on June 18.
According to the petitioners' counsel, immigration authorities barred the passengers from travelling on the grounds that they did not possess confirmed hotel reservations.
