New passenger and freight flights between Uzbekistan and Pakistan are scheduled to commence as part of moves to increase connectivity between the two nations.

The airline will fly the route twice a week using Airbus A320 planes. On the other hand, My Freighter is also scheduled to commence cargo flights to Karachi, thus increasing cargo between the two nations.

The new flights come after high-level talks between the two nations on how to improve relations. During a recent visit to Pakistan, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev emphasized the need to create direct air transport links to enhance trade, tourism, and people-to-people ties.

According to reports, the new routes are expected to facilitate business travel, enhance logistics channels, and support increasing commercial exchange between Uzbekistan and Pakistan.

Abdulaziz Abdurakhmanov, Founder and CEO of Centrum Holding, said the opening of the new routes is more than just an expansion, adding that it is the establishment of a sustainable air bridge that supports regional cooperation and economic activities.
