Social media trolls cant's stop us from steering Pakistan out of crisis: COAS

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir on Friday said any kind of instability in the "journey of prosperity and development of Pakistan will not be tolerated".

He made the remarks during the Green Pakistan Initiative Conference 2024 organised by Pakistan Army-backed investment body Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC).

"Together we are Team Pakistan, God willing, we will thwart the nefarious designs of its adversaries with the support and cooperation of the people," the top armyman said while addressing the audience.

COAS Asim vowed to end the negative propaganda against the Pakistan Amry by social media trolls.

"They [trolls] cannot distract us from working for the development and prosperity of Pakistan and its people," he added.

"Independence is not possible without economic stability, any kind of instability in the journey of prosperity of Pakistan will be given a solid response," the army chief added. 

"Let us all together reject the negative forces and focus on the journey of development and stability of the country."

Earlier, United Kingdom’s Chief of General Staff General Sir Patrick Nicholas Yardley Monrad Sanders heaped praise on the Pakistan Army and its leader for "professionalism and versatility".

"There is no comparison to the Pakistan Army's professional fitness and expertise," the Pakistan High Commission in London said quoting Gen Sander.

“Pakistan army is battle-hardened and known for its ability to defend the country as well as providing vital help to the partner countries,” it added.
