Separately, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar also confirmed the injuries and said attacks on civilians and civilian infrastructure were unacceptable, violated international law and threatened regional peace and security.
In a statement on X, Dar called for an immediate halt to such attacks and said Pakistan was closely monitoring the situation in coordination with Saudi authorities.
“I have directed our Embassy in Riyadh to coordinate with the concerned authorities to provide all possible assistance to the injured Pakistani nationals,” he said.
He also reaffirmed Pakistan’s support for Saudi Arabia, saying Islamabad stood in solidarity with the kingdom’s leadership and people and remained committed to its sovereignty, territorial integrity and security under the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement.
