Two Indian television news channels were reportedly targeted in an alleged cyberattack that disrupted their broadcasts during the Indian President's televised address, according to claims circulating on social media and messaging platforms.
The claims state that the broadcast systems of TV9 Telugu and Freedom TV Kannada were compromised by unidentified hackers during the live speech.
According to the reports, Pakistan's national anthem was briefly aired on TV9 Telugu during the transmission. The alleged hackers also reportedly displayed or transmitted a warning message advising India against "interfering with Pakistan."
The authenticity of the claims, including the identity of those responsible and the extent of the alleged breach, has not been independently verified. Neither Indian authorities nor the two broadcasters had officially confirmed the reported cyberattack at the time of filing this report.
Following the incident, speculation spread across social media regarding the cause of the disruption. Several users shared purported clips of the broadcast interruption, although their authenticity remains unverified.
