A recent survey conducted by Gallup revealed that over 75 percent of countrymen and women feel 'a lot of pride' in calling themselves Pakistani.

The sample size of the survey, conducted between 3 to 18 January, was 1,023 men and women from urban and rural areas of all four provinces of the country.

The respondents were asked a question: “How proud are you to call yourself a Pakistani?

In response, almost 77 percent Pakistanis replied that they feel 'a lot of pride' in their national identity, while 15 percent said their nationality makes them 'a little bit' proud.

However, 6 percent of the respondents said they feel no pride in their ethnic background.

The survey company claimed that the error margin in their study is estimated at just 2 percent at the confidence level of 95%.

"The methodology used for data collection was telephonic surveys (CATI)," it added.
