Field Marshal Munir meets Saudi defence minister, vows joint efforts to counter attacks on KSA

Field Marshal Asim Munir and Saudi Defence Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz met in Riyadh, where they discussed ways to further strengthen Pakistan-Saudi Arabia mutual defence cooperation and bilateral military relations.

According to a post by the Saudi Ministry of Defence on X, the two sides also welcomed the recent meeting of military chiefs from member states of the Makkah Mutual Defence Agreement.

The meeting also included discussions on attacks targeting civilian and economic installations in Makkah and Saudi Arabia.

The participants reaffirmed their commitment to continuing joint efforts under the Makkah Mutual Defence Agreement to counter such attacks.

The meeting was also attended by Saudi Minister of State, Cabinet Member and National Security Adviser Dr. Musaed bin Mohammed Al-Aiban; Chief of General Staff Lieutenant General Fayyad bin Hamed Al-Ruwaili; and Saudi Defence Minister’s Adviser for Intelligence Affairs, Hisham bin Abdulaziz bin Saif.

Senior Pakistani officials also participated in the meeting.
