Dr Nabiha Ali, a resident of Lahore’s Park View Society, who spoke about her flooded house during the Ravi River floods, was later revealed to be a tenant after the property owner clarified she did not own the house.
Several homes in Park View Society were submerged, prompting residents to share videos of the damage on social media. Dr Nabiha posted updates, mentioning her house and the losses she suffered.
Dr Nabiha had previously stated that she had been living in the society for several years and emphasised the security and safe environment as reasons for choosing the location. She said her concern was for her family and other residents affected by the floods, not personal gain.
However, a video shared by a digital platform confirmed that Muzammil, the actual owner of the house, clarified Dr Nabiha is a tenant, not the owner.
He stated that Dr Nabiha had signed a rental agreement with her brother in 2024 and that discussions about the floods should focus on the entire society, rather than individual houses.
Dr Nabiha maintained that her intent in posting videos was to highlight the damages and advocate for the rights of affected residents, including the loss of her iPhone 16 Pro Max, which has not been recovered.
