Six FC personnel wounded while thwarting terrorist attack in Bannu

At least six Frontier Constabulary (FC) personnel sustained injuries after terrorists attacked a police checkpoint in Bannu district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Wednesday.
The spokesperson of Bannu Police, Aamir Khan, said that the attack occurred at the FC checkpoint, situated in the border area of Takhti Khel in Bannu, resulting in “six FC personnel injured".
However, terrorists managed to escape after an immediate response by constabulary force”. The police team launched a search operation to trace the terrorists.
However, the injured constables were being treated in Combined Military Hospital in Bannu. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan witnessed a notable increase in terrorist activities that especially target the law enforcement personnel and security forces.
The surge in terrorist attacks was seen after Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) broke the ceasefire agreement with the government of Pakistan.

Over the past few months, multiple areas of KP, including Bannu, Peshawar, Karak, Lakki Marwar, and Bajaur, witnessed a series of attacks on security forces.
A day earlier, a police constable, Hayatullah, embraced martyrdom in a terrorist attack in Bannu while returning from his duty.
On July 21, more than a dozen terrorists attacked a police station in Baka Khel town of Bannu. However, an effective response of cops resulted in thwarting their nefarious plan to take control of the government entity.
The police also sabotaged terrorists' plan to explode the Ghoriwala town of Bannu. An official said the explosives were seized during an intelligence-based operation in the area.
On July 19, two police officials, including an officer, were injured when terrorists carried out a quadcopter attack on Bannu’s Miryan police station.
