Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Asim Munir firmly condemned India’s support for terrorist organisations. He said New Delhi has been escalating its “proxy war” after facing defeat in the Marka-e-Haq.

According to a press release by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Wednesday, Army Chief General Asim Munir addressed the 16th National Workshop in Balochistan, where he said Fitna-al-Khawarij and Fitna-al-Hindustan are two proxies used by India to destroy peace in Pakistan.

He added that the security forces are fully prepared to respond to any aggression.

Amid recent terrorist activities and subsequent attacks, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) expressed solidarity with the people of Balochistan and emphasised the importance of developing the province by eliminating the proxy war.

“[The] COAS resolutely reaffirmed Pakistan Army’s unwavering commitment to uproot the menace of terrorism and [the] inevitability of socio-economic uplift of Balochistan for national cohesion and integration,” the statement said.

Field Marshall also shed light on the recent war with India, stating the attempt to disturb the peace in the region showed New Delhi’s “blatant sponsorship of terror proxies, characterising them as a failed attempt to target the deep-rooted patriotism of the people of Balochistan.”

He added that following Pakistan’s retaliation, the neighbouring state suffered during Marka-e-Haq, the period of conflict from April 22 to May 10. He said that India has now launched a new front by escalating its proxy war to advance nefarious designs.

The Army Chief asserted that, after this failure, India is deploying Fitna-al-Khawarij and Fitna-al-Hindustan as “pawns of its hybrid war against Pakistan.”

“The COAS said that these proxies will face a similar fate and humiliation as faced in Marka-e-Haq,” the statement said.

Addressing the ceremony, the Field Marshall emphasised that terrorism doesn’t know the boundary of religion, sect, or ethnicity. He stressed that unity is a necessity to respond to this danger with imperative and collective resolve.
