Ahsan Iqbal issues clarification on disruption during live TV show

Federal Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal has issued a clarification regarding an interruption that occurred during a live television programme.

The incident took place while the minister was speaking on a private TV channel, when his mobile phone connection was briefly disrupted due to an unexpected interruption.

After the video circulated widely on social media, users raised concerns and questioned what had happened during the live broadcast.

Responding to a query on social media, Ahsan Iqbal explained that a short disruption occurred because of an argument with a person who was unaware that he was participating in a live show.

He said he rejoined the programme shortly afterwards and expressed hope that the matter would not be politicised unnecessarily.

Separately, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar also addressed the issue on social media, stating that he had spoken to Ahsan Iqbal, who clarified that a child had unexpectedly entered the room.

He confirmed that everything was fine and that the minister had rejoined the programme.
